Description
A gi choke where the hands grip the collar in opposite directions, similar to holding a baseball bat, then the attacker spins to finish.
History
A classic gi choke that became popular in competitive jiu-jitsu for its deceptive entry. Magid Hage popularized a specific no-gi setup that bears his name.
Technique Notes
Grip collar with thumb-in and thumb-out grips in baseball bat fashion. Spin toward thumb-in grip side while pulling elbows to opposite sides. The spin is what creates the choking pressure.
